Nick, Danny, and myself were bound together by a serious love of smooth Brit-pop - ABC, PREFAB SPROUT, THE BLUE NILE, ROXY MUSIC, DAVID BOWIE. I thought it would be a challenge to do a studio-only project taking these influences and pumping them up for the 90's. "Map of the Moon" was our debut EP. We made 100 copies and gave them to all our friends, not thinking too much about big-time success. We just wanted to write some songs together.
